Changelog
User-facing history for ThemeForest / WordPress.org. Keep dates and a one-line “why it matters.” Do not paste git logs. Also in readme.txt and GitHub CHANGELOG.md.
ks_* listing/agent meta stay put. Re-test Home, Listings, a listing permalink, and Book a showing.1.5.4 — September 2026
- Accessibility — Contrast pass on themed chrome: muted notes, top-bar chips, buttons, footer / Equal Housing, and newsletter fine print. Color styles (and custom pale accents) pick readable pairs. Not a certification claim.
Re-test: Home and Agents. Switch Forest / Harvest / Charcoal / Clay. Check nav, top bar, CTA band, newsletter, buttons, and footer / Equal Housing text.
1.5.3 — September 2026
- Header — The top bar defaults to Accent so it tracks the active color style (Forest, Harvest, Orchard, Clay). Sites that already saved Dark, Light, or Custom keep that choice.
- Header — Identity color tokens load after the compiled stylesheet so the bar and CTA band use the scheme instead of the ink fallback.
Re-test: Enable the top bar (Customize → Top Bar). Switch Forest / Harvest / Orchard / Clay. The bar should change with the scheme. A site that already saved Dark stays dark until you change it.
1.5.2 — September 2026
- Home — Newsletter / new-listings digest: weekly-note band with listing teasers, cadence stamp, neighborhood chips, and a raised email card. Quiet concept fine print.
- Block — Inspector layouts (digest, split, centered, compact), band style, form card/flush, copy, CTA, chips, teasers, benefits, and fine-print visibility. Color styles still theme the band.
Re-test: Home digest band on desktop and a phone-width viewport. Switch Forest / Harvest / Charcoal. In the editor, try Digest / Split / Centered / Compact and hide the fine print. Submit the form — confirmation stays on the page; nothing is emailed. Check Listings / Areas / Guide / Blog bands too. Confirm partners logos and Agents Team Intro from 1.5.1 are still in place.
1.5.1 — September 2026
- Home — Partner logo strip ships fictional SVG marks. Add, remove, or replace logos from the media library. Newsletter / market-note band redesigned with split, stacked, and inline layouts. Demo form still emails nothing.
- Agents — New Team Intro block under the hero: specialty desks, snapshot stats, and office copy for buyers, sellers, and commercial.
- Blocks — Marketing blocks share band, heading-level, spacing, and HTML-anchor controls. Those settings now apply on the front for spotlight, booking, tools, checklists, compare, topics, and posts.
- Seed — After you install the zip, run Tools → Migrate to Blocks → Force rebuild so Home and Agents pick up the new stacks.
Re-test: Home partners + newsletter (desktop and ~390px), Agents under-hero, then switch Forest / Harvest / Charcoal. Confirm logos are replaceable in the block inspector.
1.5.0 — September 2026
- Home & Areas — New Region Coverage block: split map + neighborhood cards, or a bento/grid layout. Neighborhoods, methods, and CTAs are editable. Section bands follow the active color scheme.
- Blocks — Pricing plans, logo strip, and a newsletter signup (demo form — nothing is emailed). Area Grid now supports photos, card styles, and a section CTA. How We Work steps are editable.
- Copy — Marketing pages, FAQs, and seller docs position Acreline as a WordPress theme for real estate agents (homes, listings, showings) — not a luxury portal kit and not a farms/land niche.
- Compliance — Brokerage legal name, optional licenses, Fair Housing statement, MLS/IDX disclaimer slots, privacy/terms URLs, and a consent checkbox on showing/contact forms. Not legal advice. See Website compliance checklist.
- Seed — Home, Areas, Agents, Listings, Guide, and Blog stacks include the new blocks. After you install the zip, run Tools → Migrate to Blocks → Force rebuild so existing pages pick them up.
Re-test: Home (region coverage + newsletter), Areas (featured area grid + region coverage), Agents (pricing + logo strip), then Listings / Guide / Blog newsletter. Switch Forest / Harvest / Charcoal and confirm new bands follow the color scheme.
1.4.7 — September 2026
- Home — The marketing CTA band follows the active color scheme. Text and buttons stay readable on that surface.
- Header — The desktop top bar follows the active color scheme. Custom top-bar colors still override.
- Settings — Appearance → Acreline Settings → General: pick the site color style and optionally hide the front-end color chip (on by default for the demo).
Re-test: Switch Forest / Harvest / Charcoal / Clay / Orchard (Customize → Colors, Acreline Settings, or the demo style switcher). The homepage CTA band, top bar, and header should change with the scheme. Turn the front-end chip off under General and confirm it is gone.
1.4.6 — September 2026
- Header — The mobile-menu contact, social, and new-listing panel follows the active color scheme. Text and icons stay readable on that surface.
Re-test: Open the mobile menu, then switch Forest / Harvest / Charcoal / Clay (Customize → Colors or the demo style switcher). The boxed panel should change with the scheme.
1.4.5 — September 2026
- Header — Primary menu, hamburger, and mobile drawer follow the active color scheme (accent, paper, ink). Link, hover, and current colors stay readable on the header.
Re-test: Customize → Colors (Forest, Harvest, Charcoal); desktop primary nav and mobile drawer; sticky and compact header.
1.4.4 — September 2026
- Settings — Homepage hero motion (Ken Burns and mobile search tilt) is on Appearance → Acreline Settings → General. Values stay saved when you leave and return.
- Customizer — Customize → Header shows the same saved values after you save either screen.
- Top bar — Desktop bar and the mobile-nav copy use the active color scheme (accent, paper, ink). Text and icons auto-pick a readable pair when accent-on-paper would fail. Custom colors still override.
Re-test: Save General toggles, leave the page, reopen Settings; open Customize → Header and confirm the same state. Publish Customizer and reopen Acreline Settings.
1.4.3 — September 2026
- Homepage hero — the hero photo slowly pans and zooms. Headlines, the dark overlay, and the listing search stay still so they stay readable. Visitors who prefer reduced motion see a still photo.
- Listing search on phones — optional: the search panel can gently follow the phone’s tilt. Off by default (battery and privacy). Does nothing if the device has no motion sensors or the visitor declines access.
- Customizer — Appearance → Customize → Header: “Animate homepage hero image” (on) and “Tilt listing search on mobile” (off). The two checkboxes are independent.
Re-test: Home at desktop and ~390 px; toggle both Header checkboxes in the Customizer preview; confirm reduced-motion leaves the photo and search panel still.
1.4.2 — September 2026
- Home hero photo — the homepage hero uses the theme’s existing rural farmhouse still (same default as the featured listing) as a full-bleed background, with the ink veil so white copy and the search form stay readable. Change the photo from the Home Hero block’s image picker.
- Seed —
wp ks seedand Tools → Migrate to Blocks → Force rebuild write that image URL onto the home page.
Re-test: Home at desktop and ~390 px; confirm the photo covers and the search form is not cropped.
1.4.1 — September 2026
- Full page stacks — seed and force-rebuild write the complete Gutenberg sequences (agent list on Agents; stats / reviews / FAQ on Listings; how-it-works + checklist on Guide; topic cards + post grid on Blog).
- New blocks — Trust Strip, Buyer Checklist, Showing Prep Checklist, Area Compare Table, Topic Cards, Post Grid. Agent List is listed in the inserter.
- Templates — marketing pages render
the_content()only; the Blog posts page outputs the Blog page’s blocks instead of a hardcoded Blade subset.
1.4.0 — September 2026
- Top bar — configurable slim bar above the header (Customize → Top Bar). Desktop-only (hidden below 900 px). Announcement badge + message, CTA pill, contact items (phone / email / address / hours), social icons, optional dismiss button. Four color presets: Dark, Accent, Light, Custom. All enabled items surface at the foot of the mobile nav drawer on small screens.
- Agent List block — new
acreline/agent-listGutenberg block on the Agents page with photo, performance stats, designations, and social links. - Accessibility — focus trap on listing modal, saved drawer, and compare modal;
aria-livescreen-reader announcements for save and compare; dynamicaria-labelon each button. - Responsive — listing detail grid, compare table, compare bar, mortgage calc grid, and saved drawer stack / scroll correctly on narrow phones.
- Content — seed listings enriched with open house, virtual tour, utilities, HOA, school district, flood zone, outbuildings, and land acres. Seed agents enriched with stats, social, video, certifications, and awards.
- Docs — README, readme.txt, CHANGELOG, themeforest-listing, changelog.html, and buyer-guide.html all updated. Version 1.4.0.
Re-test: Customize → Top Bar; desktop and mobile header; Agents page; listing modal keyboard navigation.
1.3.3 — September 2026
- Theme Settings redesigned: tabbed UI, iOS-style toggles, sticky save bar, unsaved-changes guard.
- New Acreline Support page: quick start, feature cards, shortcode cheatsheet, FAQ, changelog.
- Listing comparison modal, saved listings drawer, sticky CTA bar, share/print, recently viewed, nearby listings, market snapshot shortcode, mortgage calculator, media picker, rich fields, advanced agent profiles.
Re-test: Listings grid, listing detail, Agents, Theme Settings tabs, Support page.
1.2.3 — 3 September 2026
- Concept demo URL is acreline.matthummel.com (Theme URI, seller docs, support links).
Re-test: Theme URI in Appearance → Themes matches the live demo. Support links open the new host.
1.2.2 — 31 August 2026
- In-dashboard updater GitHub repo set to
matthummel-pa/wp-acreline(the public slug after the GitHub rename). Older tokens that still pointed atkeystone-homes-wp-themecontinue to work because GitHub redirects; new PATs should use the current slug. - Composer package name
matthummel-pa/acreline.
Re-test: Appearance → Update Theme still lists a zip. Customizer → GitHub still saves a token.
1.2.1 — 31 August 2026
- Buyer-facing copy: Acreline (not Keystone) on marketing templates, Customizer, emails, JSON-LD, and the WordPress.org
