Beta program

Break it beautifully.

The generator improves with every real business that runs through it. Test Pressroot on a real site β€” yours, a client's, or a made-up brewery β€” and tell us exactly where it stumbles.

The deal

What you give, what you get.

πŸ§ͺ

You give

  • One real build attempt per release: brand questionnaire β†’ save β†’ apply a site type β†’ generate.
  • Honest reports where output felt wrong β€” bad copy, ugly deals, confusing UI, broken previews.
  • Your industry knowledge: does the generated restaurant/realty/affiliate site feel like your industry?
🎁

You get

  • Direct influence on the roadmap β€” tester issues get triaged first.
  • Credit in release notes and on this site (with a link, if you want one).
  • Early access to new site types, kits, and the AI video hero milestone.
  • A free theme forever β€” Pressroot is MIT and stays that way.
Friends & family

Know Matt? You don't need to install anything.

The zero-tech path: you bring a business (real or dream), Matt runs the build, you react. Test it, give honest feedback, and you get a free domain β€” and when testing wraps, the site is yours to keep, free.

1

Send three things

DM Matt on Facebook (or email him) with: your business name, one line on what you do, and what the site should get people to do β€” call, book, buy, or follow.

2

Watch it build

Matt sets up your site and sends you a link β€” or you do it together in ~20 minutes: answer the brand questions, hit Save, watch the site assemble, and roll 🎲 until the design feels like you.

3

React & keep it

Fill the 2-minute feedback form β€” what’s confusing, ugly, or just wrong β€” brutal honesty is the whole job. Once your feedback's in, he registers your domain (on him), connects the site, and it's yours. No subscription, no catch.

What makes good feedback? "The menu page didn't sound like my restaurant," "I couldn't find where to change my hours," "the third design was the best one" β€” plain reactions like these are exactly what improves the generator. No technical vocabulary required.
Test plan

A good test pass in 20 minutes.

1

Set up

Clone + build (install docs), or use the zero-install Playground: npm run wp boots WordPress at 127.0.0.1:8881.

2

Build a site

Follow a build recipe with a real or invented business. Save Theme Settings, apply a site type, AI-write all pages, generate images, hit 🎲 a few times.

3

Report

Use the feedback form (emails Matt + posts to the tracker), or file one issue per problem with the tester label: what you did, what you expected, what you got, screenshots. Ugly counts as a bug β€” "deal looked bad" is valid feedback.

What we most need tested right now: the full save-to-build pipeline on fresh sites, non-English brand answers, free (Pollinations) vs. keyed providers, the restaurant/realty/affiliate types, and previews across browsers.

Ready to test?

Open a tester application β€” takes two minutes. Or just install it, break it, and file issues; that counts too.
